Meet the Founder
Janice Nichols is the founder and owner of Hottie Pilates, a modern classical form of Pilates that she developed after years of training and experience. She earned her Personal Trainer and Biomechanics Certification from the Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas, Texas, and completed over 500 hours of rigorous study and training under some of the leading Pilates instructors in the United States. Janice also received her Pilates Mat and Equipment Certification from Core Dynamics Pilates in Santa Fe, New Mexico, under the guidance of Michele Larsson, a highly respected and well-known Pilates teacher.
Janice brings a wealth of experience to the table, having excelled in both law enforcement and Pilates instruction. She proudly served as a Dallas Police Officer and Investigator for 10 years. And she has over 30 years of teaching experience, over 20 of which were in studios she owned and operated. She has been a big advocate of an athletic approach to Pilates and has incorporated her unique methods into her classes. This fitness approach is reflected in a series of 6 DVD’s that she created with Eloise DeJoria called “FIT AT 40 PLUS”.
She is a graduate of the University of Memphis and has been living in Texas for over 40 years.
When she’s not teaching Pilates, Janice enjoys practicing aerial silks, playing golf, and supporting TCU sports teams. She is the proud mother of five children and grandmother to eight grandchildren, and loves spending time with her family. Janice is also passionate about sharing her knowledge and research about health and beauty products with viewers.

Janice’s passion for sports and her children’s involvement in various training and conditioning programs inspired her to develop her own sports conditioning programs that utilize Pilates techniques. This combination of Pilates and her conditioning program provided an effective and practical approach to functional core training, which became the foundation for Hottie Pilates.
